Hide your keepsakes in a place no one will be able to find them.

You'll need:

1 used book
white glue
cardboard box the same depth as the
book’s spine and smaller in width and
length than the cover of the book.
(available at arts and craft supply stores)
white poster paint or gesso
decorative paper (optional)

Directions:

1. Remove all the pages from the book at
the spine.

2. Paint the outside edges of the cardboard
box with white paint or gesso. Line the
inside of the box with decorative paper.

3. When the paint is dry, glue the outside bottom
of the box to the centre of the back inside
cover of the book. Let dry. The front cover and
spine should fold over the back edge and the
top of the open box to create the lid.

4. Fill the box with craft supplies or secret
treasures and place on your bookshelf.
