This project works with melted wax or soap. Supervise children closely.

You'll Need…

  • assorted pine cones
  • wax crayons
  • waxed paper
  • glitter
  • small bucket or basket and ribbon

Directions:

1. Melt four to five wax crayons (in the colour of your
choice) in a small microwave-safe bowl. Stir every 15 seconds until the
crayons are completely melted. Remove the bowl from the microwave with
pot holders and place on a heat safe surface.

2. Dip and roll each pine cone around in the melted wax. Set on waxed paper to dry.

3. Sprinkle the dipped pine cone with glitter while the wax is still warm.

4. When the wax is hardened, arrange in a small bucket and tie with ribbon.
