Materials:

  • 1 plastic tray (available at dollar stores)
  • 1 colouring book page or colouring clipart (try www.mycutegraphics.com)
  • crayons
  • clear adhesive-backed plastic sheets or a trip to a copy shop

Directions:

1. Measure the bottom of your tray. Print out or cut your colouring book page to fit when laying flat on the tray’s bottom.

2. Colour.

3. Carefully peel backing off adhesive plastic and lay over your finished drawing on both the front and back. (Or, take your original artwork to a copy shop to be laminated.) Trim edges and lay it on the bottom. Tack the corners with putty so it won’t shift when you put your boots on it to dry.

4. When seasons change, remove your artwork from the tray, wipe off with warm water and save it for next spring. Why not make a new tray liner for every month?
