Welcome to World of Gifts, a collection of items supporting families all over the world, brought to you by the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF).
PWRDF was established after a coal mine collapsed in 1958 in Nova Scotia killing 75 men. The tragedy moved Canadians to respond with assistance for the stricken families. Canadian Anglicans in particular raised more than $1 million in today’s currency. The organization is named for the Primate, or the head of the Anglican Church of Canada.

Sixty-two years later, PWRDF still responds to natural disasters and humanitarian crises all over the world, and also works with partners in vulnerable communities developing programs to improve access to healthcare, nutritious food and clean water. Our partners provide the means for communities to learn how to adapt their small farms to climate change. They empower women and girls to give them a voice in the community. They support Indigenous communities in Canada with microfinancing and language reclamation programs.

With each gift you’ll receive a removable window sticker and a customizable card. Impress the hard-to-buy-for person on your gift list! Visit pwrdf.org/worldofgifts to make your gifts on our secure online store. E-cards are also available. PWRDF is accredited by Imagine Canada and was named one of the top 100 charities in Canada by Charity Intelligence in 2019, and Macleans and Moneysense magazines in 2020.
