Ingredients:
1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
1 pound (455g) ground beef
1 (1.3-oz, 37-g) packet store-bought sloppy joe seasoning mix
1 (8-ounce, 225-g) refrigerated package Crescent Recipe Creations (Seamless Dough Sheet)
3 slices American cheese
Prep Time:
20 minutes
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Spray 12 regular size muffin cups with cooking spray. Heat olive oil in a 10-inch (25.4-cm) skillet over moderate heat until hot, but not smoking. Add ground beef and cook, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes, until browned. Drain meat on a paper towel, discarding any fat in skillet, and return meat to pan. Add sloppy joe seasoning mix and enough water (as indicated on package), and cook according to package directions.
Remove skillet from heat and set aside. While meat cooks: unroll crescent roll sheet and cut into 12 equal squares. Fit one square into each muffin cup, pressing into bottom of cup and up sides. Spoon sloppy joe mixture into muffin cups, dividing the mixture evenly. Bake for 10 minutes, until heated through. Cut American cheese slices into fourths and top each muffin cup with one square. Return to oven for 1 minute to melt cheese. Remove tin from oven and, using a knife or mini metal spatula, transfer sloppy joes to plates. Serve immediately.
Makes 12 sloppy joe cups.
