Packed with oats, flax, sunflower butter and chocolate chips, they hit that sweet spot between a treat and an actually-filling snack—and because they’re easy to make ahead, they’re the kind of recipe that helps to saves your sanity all week long.

Makes 20 to 24 energy bites

Ingredients for Nut-Free Energy Bites

1 cup oats
2/3 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 cup ground flax
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup sunflower butter
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions for Nut-Free Energy Bites

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until well combined. Cover and refrigerate for at least half an hour.

Once your dough is chilled, roll into 1-inch (2.5 cm) balls. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
