Named for the four railway lines that run through it, this western neighbourhood of Toronto has a lot to offer. It's a popular ‘hood for families so parks and kid-friendly restaurants abound. Our tip? Take a stroll down Dundas, pick up some lunch then head to nearby High Park for a picnic.

Pronounced toe-kki, which means ‘bunny' in Korean, this cute clothing spot is where all the trendy kids shop. Specializing in gently used clothing (they buy and sell, so bring your washed, stain-free and smoke-free items during business hours), handmade gifts (like adorable wall hangings) and unique toys, the well-curated shop is run by two local moms. Also acting as a sort of community hub, Tokki host workshops with a host of experts (check out their Instagram to find out more) and weekly music and sign language classes.

Local Coffee Shop At Dundas St - Parents Canada

Full Stop
2948 Dundas St W, Toronto;
@fullstopcafe

Oozing with colour and nostalgia, this local coffee shop is the place to go for a hot drink and a treat. With Catch-Me-If-You-Can vibes—there's a huge mural of an airplane (along with a cool Lego install)—there's plenty of room for families and strollers. The best seats in the house overlook Dundas Street, and there's a vintage leather couch to cozy up on. Choose from hot chocolate, Americanos, teas and a host of other drinks along with a small sandwich (peanut butter and banana waffle, anyone?) and salad menu. Try the pistachio cake, you won't be disappointed.
