New Year’s Eve actor Josh Duhamel recently opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about becoming a dad (in about a week), his lovely wife Fergie and his work with Valspar Paint and Habitat for Humanity.

“Everybody I know that has children says it changes their life and that you can’t understand the kind of love you have for a child until you have a kid,” says Josh. “I’m excited for that.” He says he plans to be in the delivery room. “I’m taking a lot of time off after the baby’s born,” he says. “I don’t want to miss anything!” He also added he has no doubt that Fergie will be a great mother.

Josh got involved working with Valspar Paint and Habitat for Humanity because he feels the work they do is important, he says. “I feel especially passionate about this because after my hometown in North Dakota was hit in 2011,” he adds. “I saw firsthand how many families were affected and how many people needed to rebuild.”

You can see Josh next on You're not you, a movie with Hilary Swank coming out laer this year, and he finished filming Strings.

Good luck with the new baby boy Josh!
